TESTIMONIALS
“Our family moved from Alaska to South Dakota so our three boys could pursue their hockey goals, and choosing Sioux Falls Power has been one of the best decisions we’ve made. Our oldest is in his second season (16U and now 18U), our middle son plays 15O, and our youngest trains with the affiliated Legend Hockey program. Across all levels, we’ve seen consistent growth in hockey skills, habits, details, hockey sense, and confidence, along with strong character development.
The program provides a clear progression and real opportunities for players who are committed to improving. Sioux Falls Power sets high standards, prepares athletes to play at the highest level they are capable of, and actively provides pathways for players to advance to higher levels of competition. The emphasis on accountability, preparation, and competition has made a noticeable difference for our boys.
Player development is at the heart of Sioux Falls Power. Coaches like Noëlle, Eric, Trevor, and Jamison—along with many others—focus on fundamentals, skill work, and habits that translate to higher levels. They challenge players while supporting them, and the growth we’ve seen in our boys as hockey players and as developing young men has been clear, measurable, and rewarding. The time is taken to engage in a process that really connects with athletes in a way that transcends the scoreboard, team records, or stat sheet….we are very thankful to be a part of the Power family!”
“My son, Jimmy Egan’s season with Sioux Falls Power Tier 1 under Coach Noelle Needham was the most important year of his development, both as a hockey player and as a young man. Coach Noelle runs a professional, disciplined, and highly competitive program with a strong focus on both on-ice and off-ice development. It truly pushes every player beyond their limits.
Jimmy learned accountability, leadership, and how to handle adversity during his time with Sioux Falls Power. He often says that if he had not gone to Sioux Falls, he would not have been prepared for junior hockey in the WHL.
What means even more to us is that Coach Noelle has continued to be part of Jimmy’s life well beyond that season. She has remained a mentor and a constant source of support, guidance, and encouragement as Jimmy has continued his hockey journey. Knowing that he still has someone of her caliber in his corner speaks volumes about the type of coach and person she is.
Coach Noelle Needham runs a first-class program, and we are extremely grateful for the experience. We would strongly recommend Sioux Falls Power to any family that is serious about their son taking the next step in his hockey career.”
“The Sioux Falls Power program was instrumental in Caleb’s development on and off the ice. During his two years there, he received incredible coaching, a great environment for on-ice development, but more importantly, personal accountability on and off the ice. Coach Noelle challenges the players in different ways that prepare them for the next level.
Because of this structure and support, Caleb made significant strides both on and off the ice and left the program well prepared for the demands of Junior hockey and beyond. The Sioux Falls Power program does an excellent job of developing complete players, and Caleb’s progress is a direct reflection of the quality coaching and development culture they provide.

“Sending our boys to Sioux Falls Power was one of the best decisions we made as a hockey family. It wasn’t always the easiest path, Brody had to leave the comfort of high school hockey his senior year, but it was absolutely the right one. That season at 18U AAA unlocked another level for him, prepared him for junior hockey and he’s now playing college hockey at Elmira.
Jack’s development came through years of growth at Power. Starting at 13U and working up to 16U, he was constantly challenged and supported. He’s now playing in the WHL with a commitment to Miami of Ohio. That doesn’t happen without the environment Sioux Falls provided.
What stood out most was the combination of elite coaching, high standards, outstanding on and off-ice facilities, and genuine care for the kids. Noelle Needham and the staff are all-in for the players, they push, they mentor, and they believe in the long game. We’re proud to be part of the Power family.”
“Our son Easton Johnson was part of the Power family for 4 years. He played u13 all the way thru u16. In terms of opportunity and growth as a person and a player, you couldn’t ask for more from a program. From the skill and skating work to overall knowledge of the game, makes you a better player in every way. Also being a tier one program gives you a chance to play the best competition and gives you an opportunity to be noticed by scouts. We will be forever grateful for what the Sioux Falls Power program has done for our family.”
“The Sioux Falls Power hockey club is best in class and can be a trusted development step in your son’s hockey career. My son, Aidan played for the Power program beginning at his U13 through U16 years before moving on to the WHL, now playing as a 17 yo, for the Calgary Hitmen. He was also a gold medal winner as a player on the U18 US Men’s National Hlinka-Gretzky team in the summer of 2025.
Our experience with Noelle and the Power program was transformative for my son’s development as an elite goalie, a young man and teammate. The hallmark of the Sioux Falls Power club is the strict focus on excellence, strong work ethic and development. Different from just a sole focus on a wins & loss record, Noelle and her staff prioritize the foundations of elite hockey players in every aspect of their play. For a goalie, the focus on technical precision, mental fortitude and expanding their value as the ‘6th player’ on the ice proved to be invaluable. Additionally, the partnership of Legend Hockey training, which include professional-level coaching from Brandon Wildung is unique to Sioux Falls Power and sets the development apart from all other programs. Noelle’s impressive background as an NHL scout and USHL executive gives her a unique lens as she is able to truly prepare players for the next level.
Under Noelle, my son has achieved significant success – finding the balance between athleticism, sound technical skills and the competitive edge to win at increasingly higher levels of play.
I would recommend the Sioux Falls Power Hockey club for any player that is looking to develop and improve all aspects of their game.”
