The Sioux Falls POWER 16U team is under the direction of head coach, Noëlle Needham and assistant coaches Eric Schlie and Trevor Kleckner.

Sioux Falls Power co-founder and co-owner, Noelle Needham, is in her 11th year as head coach of the 16U team. A South Dakota native, she made history as the first female NHL amateur scout when hired by the Toronto Maple Leafs in 2018. After her time with the Maple Leafs, Noelle served as Associate General Manager and Director of Scouting for the Chicago Steel (USHL) for three seasons, winning a Clark Cup during the 2020-2021 season.
Noelle's background highlights a deep commitment to hockey and player development. Her experience as a collegiate forward at Minnesota State University, Mankato, and her co-founding of Sioux Falls Power and Legend Hockey demonstrates her dedication to shaping athletes' careers. Growing up on a ranch in South Dakota built a foundation of hard work and perseverance, qualities that translate into her approach to player training and development.
By establishing Sioux Falls Power and Legend Hockey in Sioux Falls, Noelle strategically positioned these programs in a prime area for hockey growth, close to both USHL and NCAA recruiting grounds. Her work not only contributes to the development of elite-level players but also creates a support system for athletes as they progress through their careers, from Junior leagues all the way to the NHL.

Eric Schlie grew up in Littleton, Colorado. He attended the University of Colorado at Boulder where he obtained his BA in psychology. Post college, he has dedicated the past 12 years to coaching, most notably with positions at Valor Christian High School, Des Moines Buccaneers (USHL) and most recently with the St. Cloud Norsemen (NAHL). He joined Power in 2022 and currently resides in Sioux Falls with his wife, Courtney.

Kleckner joins the Sioux Falls Power after coaching for the Charlotte Rush of the USPHL for two years. Prior to his tenure in Charlotte, he was an Assistant Coach for Arcadia University’s inaugural NCAA Men’s Ice Hockey Program. Kleckner assisted in building the program from scratch during the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020-2021, and coached in their first competitive season in 2021-2022.
As a native of Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, Kleckner received his B.S.B.A in Sport Management at Robert Morris University while also receiving his B.A. in Business Administration from Bryn Athyn College. While at Bryn Athyn College he competed on their inaugural NCAA Men’s Ice Hockey Team.
Kleckner currently resides in Sioux Falls with his wife, Emily, and their son Trace.
