POWER Goaltender, Hedquist, Competes for US at 5 Nations Tournament
Sioux Falls, SD – Sioux Falls POWER U16 goaltender, Hobie Hedquist, has been selected for the 2019 U.S. Under-17 Men’s Select Team that will compete at the Five Nations Tournament in Füssen, Germany August 13-17th. .
In addition to the U.S., the 2019 Under-17 Five Nations Tournament will also include teams from Switzerland, Czech Republic, Slovakia and Germany. Each country will play each other once. For the complete U.S. roster, click here.
Hedquist, (6’2” 170lb), a native of Heron Lake, MN, is entering his third season with the Sioux Falls POWER Hockey Tier 1 program. He was recently drafted 20th overall in the USHL Phase I Draft by the Dubuque Fighting Saints and is committed to Colorado College (NCHC).
Sioux Falls POWER has now had two players representing the U.S. at the Five Nations Tournament the past two seasons. Dane Montgomery, a University of North Dakota (NCHC) commit, competed for the U.S. at Five Nations last August.
The Sioux Falls POWER Hockey program is based in Sioux Falls, South Dakota and has Tier 1 teams at the U14, 15o, U16 & U18 age levels.
