Stillwater’s Jimmy Egan Commits to Play Division I Hockey at Colorado College
Sioux Falls, SD – Sioux Falls POWER Hockey is proud to announce that Jimmy Egan, a standout forward from Stillwater, MN, has officially committed to play NCAA Division I men’s hockey at Colorado College. Egan ('08), currently is a forward for the Sioux Falls Power 16U team.
Colorado College, located in Colorado Springs, CO, is renowned for its storied hockey program; competing in the NCHC, one of the most competitive conferences in college hockey. Egan’s commitment marks an exciting step in his hockey career and follows his USHL Phase 1 draft selection by the Omaha Lancers.
"We are thrilled for Jimmy as he takes the next step toward his dream of playing college hockey at the Division I level,” said Noelle Needham, head coach of the Sioux Falls Power 16U team. "I know Jimmy will have a lasting impact on the Sioux Falls Power program and I look forward to making sure he is prepared to excel at the next level when he moves on from the 16U team.”
Egan’s journey to this point has been marked by his impressive play in the Sioux Falls Power program, which fields teams at the 14U, 15O, 16U, and 18U levels. Known for his strong two-way play, Egan has developed into a dynamic forward with a goal scoring touch, making him a sought-after recruit by NCAA programs.
